Eldritch: Lessosn 005

Well, guys, it’s update time!  There’s no folklore to discuss, sadly… but hopefully you all got a chuckle or something.  Also, sorry about the size discrepancies.  Oops, you know?

So… I dunno about you guys, but I were in Faith’s position, I’d totally fall off.

Also, randomly, if you think riding a wolf might be fun, odds are you wanna look up Elfquest. No, seriously. Go do it.  To be honest, I haven’t read it since I was a kid, but it was good fun.

There I go, shoving my influences down people’s throats again…

I suppose I should hush up and get back to work… I suppose I’ll sketch on next week’s page a bit, finish up my billdad drawing, and then reads some more of The Element Encyclopedia of Magical Creatures.  Or maybe I’ll work on some costuming patterns.  So much to do!

  1. Eh heh heh, that's awesome. I wouldn't fall off at first, although after time I might just slip to the side.

I thought the trademark "tongue out the side of the mouth while running" thing on the last panel was worth a chuckle, that and Faith screaming her lungs out.

As for you, you don't have to hush up. You're the author! Type to your heart's content, just don't go over 7 paragraphs.

Now for something completely different. The book "777 and Other Qabalistic Writings" by Aleister Crowley has an index of sorts showing the meanings/connections of numbers to spiritual and other things. For example the number 301 can signify Fire.

I don't really have any reason to share this other than you seem to be into the mythical and spiritual aspect of life, plus any good tabletop RPG game uses Qabalistic meaning in their ranking systems (Such as D&D).

Anyway, that's enough ramble out of me. Have a good week and I look foreward to next Wednesday.

    Cheers!

  2. Tehee, then you'd do better than I! And thank you so much!

You know, to be honest, I'm not as well versed on the Hermetic Qabalah as I'd like to be. I find that outlook's interpretation of the Tree of Life fascinating, but it seems that whenever I begin researching in that direction, I just end up reading about monsters again ^.^; Though... you know, I never saw anything on that aspect of D&D... that's very interesting.

Thank you for putting up with my slow reply, and I hope you enjoy the update!
