Hey look, Faith isn’t a total failure at Valen-ween.  I’m kinda amused that I managed to have the Halloween chapter run through Halloween one year, while the Valentine’s is “Second Halloween” and it‘s running through Halloween again.

However, sorry to be a killjoy, but there may be some changes coming soon.  Some stuff is going on in my life right now, and as a result, Eldritch may become a bi-weekly thing.  I don’t want it to, I really don’t want it to get like that, but I may have time issues and other constraints that may prohibit me from being able to produce Eldritch as regularly as I am.  I promise, I’ll try, but, just… real-life stuff has to come first and the comic doesn’t pay bills.  Please cross your fingers for me, and thanks for understanding if things get weird in here.

In less self-pittying news than Faith’s attitude here, I find that I’m getting rather excited… Autumn has almost arrived, and I’ve had some lovely adventures lately!  I do hope that things are treating the rest of you well!

Well… that was short-lived.

I find that love, and especially crushes are weird.  People do things they normally wouldn’t dream about… Crazy, amazing, remarkable things that in hindsight make you question sanity.  They jump into things feet-first and without looking.  And when things don’t work out, it’s the end of the world… No, actually, it’s worse. Even the end of the world would be preferable. 

There’s a terrifying vulnerability that accompanies such things, and, yet, it’s also a blindfold --It’s so difficult to see the dangers that come with love.  And the worst part is that you have so little control over it.  Against your will, you give a shard of your soul to someone, who likely never asked for nor wanted it, but it feels so good to do so. 

However, then, you’re completely at their mercy. 

There are few things in the world more wonderful, and more frightening, than a crush.
