So.  Yeah.  Ireland used to have lots, and lots of wolves, but they were all wiped out.  In the Eldritch universe, vampires helped encourage that.  Also, according to Adam Douglas’ The Beast Within, it was said that wolves would tear vampires apart, and that white wolves guarded graveyards against vampires.  Whether or not that is the truth, or the vampires brought it upon themselves by killing wolves based upon a superstition, well… that may be a story for another time.

Also… I know I have warned that I may miss some updates due to job and holiday stuff, but I can actually assure you that there WILL be an update on Christmas eve, in part thanks to friends like Shade and Rekay who I got to visit with and who got me all kinds of motivated with their creativity and enthusiasm.

SURPRISE.  Oh.  Not surprised? Okay then.

So.  First off, I would like to personally extend a HUGE thank-you to those have donated in the past, those who will donate in the future, but particularly today, thank you to Wolfattwilight who was extremely generous.

Also, I think I can safely say that updates, in spite of new job position and stuff, should continue as normal through Christmas, at least.  I’m trying to get a handle on things, and redistribute my time.  Here’s to hoping I can manage it.

However, if I don’t, I have a recommendation for you to look into in the meantime.  I don’t care if your Marvel or DC, Image has just started a series that I think all of you lovely readers ought to look at: Tooth and Claw.

Let’s see here… anthropomorphics? Check.  Magic and fantasy?  Ooooh check. Beautiful world-building?  Heck yeah.  This isn’t a BANG-POW kind of comic with minimalist storyline.  This is the good stuff. This has wordless panels with breathtaking, gorgeous artwork next to panels stuffed with riveting dialogue and enthralling exposition, along with distinctly written and wonderfully designed characters.  Please give it a look-over next time you visit your local comic shop.

Okay… other news.  The first being the tipjar goal over on my deviantart http://nashoba-hostina.deviantart.com/ has been updated.   There’s no pressure or anything, Eldritch will still happen with or without it.  So, if you would like to donate, that would be lovely, and if the goal is reached, I promise that I will do my best to have an extra update.

  However, there is still a risk that things may drop to biweekly updates.  I’ve recently had a promotion at work and as a result, I have longer hours, which means, less time for art.  The fact is, I’ve had some unexpected expenses, I need the cash, and I kind of had to take the job.  However, I promise that I will do my best to keep things flowing along as they are.

Hey look, Faith isn’t a total failure at Valen-ween.  I’m kinda amused that I managed to have the Halloween chapter run through Halloween one year, while the Valentine’s is “Second Halloween” and it‘s running through Halloween again.

However, sorry to be a killjoy, but there may be some changes coming soon.  Some stuff is going on in my life right now, and as a result, Eldritch may become a bi-weekly thing.  I don’t want it to, I really don’t want it to get like that, but I may have time issues and other constraints that may prohibit me from being able to produce Eldritch as regularly as I am.  I promise, I’ll try, but, just… real-life stuff has to come first and the comic doesn’t pay bills.  Please cross your fingers for me, and thanks for understanding if things get weird in here.

This page would have benefited from actually showing the screen.  Perhaps someday I’ll have time to go back and fix it;  I had planned on doing so, but something unpleasant and unexpected turned up today, and it took up a lot of time.  Oh well, that’s how the leaves fall.  Regardless, I hope you’re all well tonight!
